It is possible not to like opeth and I understand the people that don’t! Personally i like em a lot but sometimes they might sound boring,depressing and sometimes you have to “wait” for the good parts!(Just responding to the info!)

the lyrics are good man,don;t forget how hard it is to write a songs,if you think its easy give it a go,try writing something like this you might be surprised how much skill is involved.
Then try singing it, alot goes into opeth,then you have to write a melody I simply dare you to do something better.

Understandably that is your opinion, but I feel that the singing is the perfect break from the beginning of the song, then allows the ultimate entry of the clean guitar solo that ends it.
