The Monkey Business Illusion by Daniel Simons. This video was one of the 10 finalists for the Best Illusion of the Year competition in May 2010. It was created as part of an undergraduate seminar course in the spring of 2009.

    So essentially, “People may not notice things they aren’t looking for … especially if you direct their attention away from them.”

    Not sure what part of this could be considered an “illusion.”

  3. I noticed the gorilla without knowing what to expect. I noticed the girl leaving, but didn’t really comprehend that it happened. I did NOT notice anything about the curtain though.
    Hmm..

    I was under the impression an illusion is a false perception or belief. Missing overt information is certainly an illusion from my understanding.
